Writing with the help of AI

Admitting to using AI tools in the realm of fiction writing might raise eyebrows for some, but I've found it to be an invaluable ally in bringing my stories to life. Incorporating AI into my writing process has not only streamlined my creative workflow but has also injected new dimensions of inspiration and efficiency. Let me explain on the three major parts where I use AI in my work.

Brainstorming and inspiration

I use claude.ai by uploading everything I've already written about my fictional world. Then I can receive feedback and ideas for expanding upon my existing work. It's like having a virtual brainstorming partner who intimately understands the intricacies of my narrative. This feedback loop helps me see new perspectives and untapped potential in my worldbuilding. The AI's recommendations sometimes points out aspects I hadn't considered before, ultimately enriching the depth of my world and characters.

Making illustrations

Midjourney.com has been my go-to tool for generating images that perfectly encapsulate the atmosphere and emotions I want to convey in my writing. It's not about replacing my own imagination or artistic ability, but rather about jumpstarting the visualization process.

With this AI, I can create images that seamlessly fit into my fictional universe. This tool helps me put faces to characters, environments, and objects, breathing life into my narrative. Instead of spending hours sketching or scouring the internet for fitting images, I can swiftly and effectively develop a visual foundation for my storytelling.

Proofreading

I usually use ChatGPT for correcting my grammar and spelling correction tools can save time and enhance the overall readability of your work. However, a cautious approach is essential. The AI should not overshadow your distinct style or alter the essence of your writing. The goal is to enhance, not replace, your creative expression. Regular interaction with these tools can also help you become more mindful of common errors, ultimately improving your writing skills over time.

For me AI is a way to get the story out of my head in am more efficient way, it helps me but its still my tales and me directing the process. Its not simply pushing a button, its not stealing other peoples work, its me expressing my creativity.
